Hi All! This is me being a cheerleader. Protesting is marketing, and this is our season. From now until the end of May, we bring in as many people to the resistance as possible. This is our immediate goal.
We talk about wanting Democratic candidates who will fight for us. But, we are the fighting Democrats/UNAs. This is a time to directly sound the alarm, engage community conscience, and grow our ranks.
Strong Spring actions will define the reach of Summer actions, which likely will be about election/voting shenanigans and ICE, as well as the latest, ongoing chaos from DC. We will need coordinated, building, massive pushback. Our numbers are going to make or break us.
People are not alarmed enough, and don’t realize what we will lose under authoritarianism. It’s up to us to sound the alarm.

3/7/26 Protest Report
It was raw, damp, and gray, but you wouldn’t have known it from the group. We were 32 very merry protesters. Wonderful exchanges, obvious commitment, and mutual support, all the perks of community.
New member came who wants to start protests! Boy, did she come to the right place. Emailed her “How To Start A Protest” this morning. Welcome Alanna!
Anyone else who wants one, let me know. Also, we now have a list of about 20 protest songs, thanks to Mike E. I’ll send you one, if you want.
Resistance is community that binds us and shows us what cooperation can do. Our single purpose is to preserve our democratic republic and rebuild it better. We keep each other from exhaustion, confusion, and slow surrender.
Chaos is fast and organization is slow, says science. But, when you know where everything goes, the job goes quicker, and many hands make light work.
Faint not, fight on!
Bonnie
