Hi All! It has become clear thatgrassroots communities of voters will drive the pro-democracy movement and the next wave of Democratic politics. It falls to us to define what that will be. So, we have GOALS, kids! What are they? Democracy unchained. Democratic political dominance. Policies that lift, not oppress. Pocketbook politics.

**GOAL: GET AS MANY DEMOCRATS AS POSSIBLE ELECTED, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Action: Get behind Aftyn Behn, TN-07
We can have one more Democratic electoral victory, on 12/2/2025, Aftyn Behn, TN-07, for the House of Representatives. She’s running to fill a seat vacated by Republican Mark Green, who chaired the House Homeland Security Committee during his tenure. Spread the knowledge and find support for her through networking. **GOAL: ACCOUNTABILITY AND SHAME. ACTION: Email the eight Democratic senators who voted with Republicans to end the shutdown.
They caved to the Republicans’ unnecessarily linking gratuitous cruelty with fabricated fiscal responsibility, as though one could choose with moral certainty whether to feed or doctor their family. These Dems have put us again on the back foot, after our victorious Tuesday! The ass carries the wine and drinks the water. These Dems have mistaken their mascot for a plan.
These are the eight, none of whom are running in ’26, so they think our short memories will save their futures. It won’t:

“You failed us from the very beginning of this debacle, which was Jan.6, the treason you ignored. You have backed down from every fight. Now, you fail us with the shutdown. You either cannot or will not represent and protect Democrats, yet you constantly beg for our donations. Why would we want to support you, when you keep opening the door just because the wolf knocked? We refuse to carry the wine for the Republicans and drink only the water. Being an ass is not a plan.”
**GOAL: ACCOUNTABILITY VIA BOYCOTTS. Pocketbook politics.
ACTION: Cancel Spotify and Paramount, boycott Target and Home Depot. Any other suggestions on this?
**GOAL: ACCOUNTABILITY AND SHAME. Let these senators know you despise their failure and weakness and are coming for their blood.
ACTION: Send these in an envelope to 53 Republican senators.
For these, if a group of 50 of us—out of a group of 200+—sends 53 envelopes every week, the 53 senators would collectively receive 2,650 snaps and 2,650 bandaids. If 50 of us send one to each of the 53 senators every week for four weeks, that’s 10,600 postcards. Those numbers are hard to ignore. This is the kind of action that spreads and works. (Lord above, or anyone here on the ground, please check my math! Bob E, I’m looking at you!)
Each envelope should have “FORCE (For Our Republican Co-conspirator Expendables)” written on it. This will identify that this is a group action.
- Get a clothing snap, snap it onto a piece of paper that says,”Eat This!”, and mail it to the 53 Republican senators. Small expense, tactile item of shame. (53 x .78= $41.34)
- Similar action on healthcare accountability: “Stick bandaids to a piece of paper with the message, “For Your Conscience, and mail it.” ($41.34)
These could be done via email, but we’d lose the tactile nudge. And, our emails expose us. If anyone knows how to email without exposure, let me know. I’m not calling for anything illegal, though. We could also use postcards instead of envelopes to send these items, but not sure they’d make it through mail processing machines, and the savings would be minimal.
It’s a given that our resistance will cost us time, effort, and money. If you cannot accept that, you cannot fight effectively. Whining will not be countenanced! If the fight for democracy fails, you can count your money and time when you awake in the middle of the night with regrets. If ever there were a time to give our all, this is it!

**GOAL: GROW OUR GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT. INCREASE OUR POWER AND RAPID RESPONSE TIME TO ASSAULTS ON DEMOCRACY, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND CIVIL RIGHTS.
ACTION: Send this email to three others, to widen our circle and bring more resistors into the fray.
A big part of our mission is to grow our grassroots organizations that will carpet the land with resistors and activists for democracy and Constitutional rights. This is a numbers game. We need the support and action of as many people as we can get to build a strong organization, capable of quick, overwhelming responses that will result in change.
ACTION: Join the Democratic Club in your town.
Joining in your town will bring more people into the circle of activists who will be part of our fight against this administration for the future of democracy. You can join the Closter Democratic Club, even if you don’t live in Closter. We’re getting pretty lively over here!

For those of us who have Democratic senators, we might instead email them to express our disappointment that eight Democratic senators’ capitulated in the shutdown. Ask them, “What’s next, now?” Ask for a reply.

This site tracks ICE operations via sharing submitted user videos of authoritarian and extremist activity. One goal is to anticipate where ICE will be next. There are no actions here, but reports that we may be able to develop actions around, not to mention knowing what’s happening around us.
