AWARENESS ACTIONS, 4/24/26 AND 4/26/26 FOR THE FRIDAY, MAY 1, 1-DAY NATIONAL STRIKE

MAY DAY STRONG: NO WORK, NO SCHOOL, NO SHOPPING
WORKERS OVER BILLIONAIRES
We tax the rich, so our families come first, before their fortunes. No ICE. No WAR. No Private Army serving authoritarian power. Hands off our Vote. Expand Democracy. And, it’s up to us to organize and promote how we stand together! This is a summary of our talking points.
Our purpose is to raise awareness of the MAY DAY 1-DAY STRIKE next week. The national organizers want to know how strong we are in the defense of democracy. Our opposition has absolute power, but can it overwhelm the power of We, the People? This is an important talking point.
The extent of our power will be shown by how we respond as a nation. This is why we’re raising awareness of the May Day Strike. Will we go to work, go to school, shop? Are those things for one, single day, more important than fighting for our democracy? THAT’S A QUESTION WE HAVE TO ASK PEOPLE.
There can no progress in our resistance without sacrifice. Joining the 1-day strike will say that we believe our principles have a higher value than billionaire’s profits. This is an important talking point.
We want as many people as possible to be aware of this national action. That’s why we’ll be out there Friday and Sunday. We want them to have time to prepare for this strike, to take personal days off, and arrange practical matters.
PLEASE SIGN UP AND COME TO ONE OF OUR AWARENESS ACTIONS
Materials will be provided
We will be at the County Courthouse, in Hackensack, Friday, 4/24, at noon.
We will be at the Edgewater Riverwalk, Sunday, 4/26, at 2 pm.
Let me know which you can attend. I’ll need a number to know how many signs I’ll make. We will be wearing this sign*, front and back, as a mini sandwich board, with the QR code to the maydaystrong.org site.
