PIE IN THE SKY
And Blades of Grass on the Ground
Hi All! The last protest of the season is Saturday, 11/1, from 12 to 2 pm, in front of the Closter Plaza. Please bring your lawn signs, so we can line the curb with our Democratic candidates’ names. If you have signs that say “VOTE BLUE”, please bring them, in addition to your other signs. Halloween costumes are welcome, and will make for a more fun event. Blow up costumes are the bee’s knees and probably warm, as well. Even if you have only a mask, funny hat, or other cool or kooky thing to wear, wear it! We need lightness in the air to show passers-by that we have the will and the ways. Because, we do!
Our focus now is to get every Democrat on our ballot elected. If you have any time in the next few days, please canvass or call Democrat voters. Please take up the challenge of Do One More Thing! Sign up here: https://forms.gle/nRVCj1u6JztxSBmW8

I know it’s a pie-in-the-sky dream that all who receive my reminders will come out tomorrow, but imagine what a huge statement that would make for our last protest! Our momentum is strong, so we should show that to all and sundry. Those who see us are more likely to join us in the things we have to do.
Illegitimi Non Carborundum!*
Our last protest has been colored symbolic. It will show how important our agenda is and force elected officials to reconcile themselves to what’s happening and what they have pledged to do to protect folks. Pantaloons, our agitator, is a small sample of the overall challenge we face. Can we walk the walk against maga harassment? It would stand as a point of tactical achievement and increase our solidarity if, as a group, we have what it takes to do so. We’re a microcosm of the larger resistance against this regime. If we cannot prevail against Pantaloons, then we know that our movement is ripe for failure, and we might as well go home, pull the covers over our heads, and wait for hell to surface on our soil.
Be wary of Pantaloons and silently turn your back on him. This goes for any agitator. Our job is to make sure our protest is relentlessly peaceful and provocation isn’t actively answered. Period. If a protester looks as if they might leap into violence, hug them.
Come out and make us stronger. We are the blades of grass in our grassroots movement!
Yours in action and forbearance,
Bonnie

Sorry about the email I sent from the ACLU that didn’t sit right on the page. Idk what happened. Something with me and tech, probably.
