Hi All! There are those among us who want to go out and protest on Saturday, 2/7, in solidarity with Minneapolis. The forecast is ridic: 16º and windy. But, one of our best has already made a path through the snow from the parking lot to the sidewalk. A group of stalwarts* went out last Saturday! I kid you not.
Here’s my idea. We go out in shifts and stay out for 15 minutes. Our replacements come out and do the next 15, while the first shift warms up in a car, and so on for an hour. Only two shifts per group. How many people do you think we need to look equal parts ferocious and nutz? 10? 20?
Who wants to join us? We’ll make a big impression. If we listen to polls, only three or four cars out of every 10 that pass will disapprove. Maybe another three will start to think that something could be wrong for people to do this, and they should look into that. The remaining three or four will join us another time.
Please let me know if you want to do this tomorrow. I’ll follow the will of the group. I’m tickled to know that people are so committed!
