Tomorrow, 2/28, is the END ICE CAMP protest, in solidarity with Project Ninja (No Ice North Jersey Alliance) from Action Together and the Sussex Visibility Brigade, two groups working to stop the Roxbury detention camp.
We’ll meet at 12, on Vervalen St., in front of the Closter Plaza. If you haven’t remembered to make END ICE CAMP signs, not to worry. We may have extra, and you can carry any sign you want, of course. The most important thing is your presence.
Large-scale, nonviolent, mass-movement resistance, capable of engaging the community conscience and galvanizing political pressure is one of our strongest weapons in this fight. They will use whatever force they can to dominate. We will use whatever force we have to push back—and our force is numbers.Please come out with us! *The weather will be fine. Bring anyone who wants to make a difference in this mess. We have to make a credible showing out there tomorrow and every week. This is the beginning of the pre-midterm protest season, when we show what WE are made of. People are saying that we’re going to win, and that we’ll get tired of winning. Internalize that and let nothing deter you.
