Protest Vote and Maybe a Party
New Saturday Rally!
Hi All! I’ve been asked by a group of organizers to lend my name for a write-in protest vote against Josh Gottheimer in the Tuesday, 6/2/26 primary election. I agreed. There’s no idea of winning the primary, it’s simply a protest tactic. If you have issues with Gottheimer, feel free to write me in: Bonnie Bayardi. This sounds like the beginning of a funny movie.
Can we organize a watch party? Indivisible’s Committee For The First Amendment is presenting a concert, Rise Up, Sing Out, at Town Hall in NYC on 6/14/26, 7:30 pm, a counter to the UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House lawn to celebrate Trump’s birthday. Indivisible has asked its organizers to hold watch parties, as the concert is being live-streamed. I want to host a watch party, but don’t have a venue. I’d like a pub or bar, but will not be fussy, if you have another idea–or any idea. It’d be nice to have some fun and get to meet more people in our group. Please let me know what ideas you have and your willingness to participate. There are no local watch parties listed yet. Maybe, we could be the first listing.
We had our Friday night rally, and five of us were there. It was a nice evening, and we had great response from passing cars. We’re getting more response every week, so people are getting the message.
There were 21 protesters at out Saturday rally, and the wind was ferocious! Signs were sails and it was very chilly, but stalwarts as we are, we made it to the end.
New rally in River Vale!! Saturdays, from 11am to 12:30pm, on the corner of Westwood Avenue and River Vale Road.
There were four of us at the first rally yesterday, hosted by Alanna, a cheerful and commanding presence. Please come and make it a success for her and for democracy. We want and need you there. Wide sidewalks and plenty of parking, food nearby, and good company. Please come!
Bonnie
