WHILE TRUMPISM FORGES FECKLESSLY FORWARD, WE BECOME POWERFUL
Hi All! I went to a rally in River Vale, on Sunday, held by young people. The organizer is a man in his early 20s, Andre. A group of kids from Pascack Valley HS were there. We were five adults, ranging from Andre to me, at 79. The other seven were 15- and 16 years old, there with permission from their parents. Andre is also a volunteer medic at Delaney Hall, where he was headed after the rally.
I can’t tell you how happy I was to see the youth rally, something I’ve wanted and hoped for so long. I will attend this Sunday, and hope to see some of you there. [Sunday, 3pm, corner of Westwood Ave. and River Vale Road. Park in Walgreen’s lot or behind Medicine Shoppe. If you’re under 18, please have your parents’ permission to be there.]
We will be out tomorrow evening, weather permitting. While it may rain in the afternoon, the forecast shows no rain from 5 to 6 pm. We live in hope! Use your judgement and rest assured that if there is nothing falling from the sky at 4:45, we will be out there.
Strong voices are sounding the alarm about the very real, potentially massive, illegal election interference. This is not the time to remain optimistic that this cannot happen in the USA, as we’ve said that before every step down from democracy they’ve taken us so far.
Please take this as a serious threat we all must fight against in every way we can. Show up tomorrow evening to demonstrate our strength and determination. Show up Saturday to show you’re committed to keeping America a free, democratic republic. Together, we can make America stronger and better than is now, as our Forefathers intended.
Let me sit on your shoulder and whisper this in your ear:
Do you expect others to do the work for you? That’s what this regime is hoping for.
The most underrated skill in life is to keep showing up, especially when you don’t feel like it.
