THE ELECTION HAS BEGUN! MAIL-IN BALLOTS WILL BE MAILED BY BERGEN COUNTY, STARTING 9/15/26. ON 9/17/2026, DROPBOXES WILL BE AVAILABLE TO RETURN MAIL-IN BALLOTS.
Hi All! Mail-in Voters, the county will begin mailing Mail-in Ballots on 9/15/2026. You may expect to receive your ballot in 7 business days from the date your ballot is mailed. You can call the Board of Elections and ask when your ballot will be mailed, as different areas in Bergen County have different mailing dates.
If you don’t receive your ballot by 10/13/26, you should call the Board of Elections. They’ll look up your bar code and tell you when it was mailed. If 10/13/26 is more than 7 days past that mailing date they tell you, you must vote provisionally,* the earlier the better! Bergen County Board of Elections: 201-336-6225
Every Active registered voter is eligible to request a Mail-in Ballot. Please contact your county clerk, at 201-336-7020, to submit a request.
OCTOBER 27 is the deadline to apply by mail for a Vote-by-Mail ballot.
NOVEMBER 2, AT 3:00 PM, is the deadline to apply in person for a Vote-by-Mail ballot at your County Clerk’s office.
